The day after the World Trade Center tragedy was the day when PottieStickers and creator Tammie Aaron-Barrada, were both put to the test. Tammie’s husband was diagnosed with cancer just after they lost their third child. The daily trips for radiation, doctor’s appointments and chemotherapy treatments resulted in placing their two toddlers in day care and in the hands of neighbors since family was over 800 miles away. A few weeks later Tammie’s husband lost his battle with cancer.

Now widowed with a handful of PottieStickers and two toddlers to raise, Tammie was devastated and faced with financial challenges as Tammie’s husband did not have life insurance. Determined to make it, she pursued her goals in honor of her husband and for her children.
