Catnap Kitties sound and feel like real purring kittens.

Cats: The Purrfect Partners
for Human Health

The Power of the Purr

Nothing can compare with the unconditional love and stress-reducing benefits that a gentle family pet cat can provide. Cats touch our hearts in many positive ways, including helping us live longer, healthier, happier lives.

Research shows that:

1) Cat caretakers are less likely to die of a heart attack and other cardiovascular diseases than people who never had a pet cat

2) Holding a purring cat helps reduce stress by lowering one’s blood pressure, and slowing one’s heart rate and breathing

3) A purring cat can help conquer an older person’s feelings of loneliness and bolster self-confidence

Sadly, one of the most common reasons people cite for surrendering pets is allergic reactions to their fur and dander, although there may be other allergens in the home and environment that could be the real cause of human allergy. Nevertheless, allergy to cats is common, occurring in up to 25 percent of people with allergies.

With Catnap Kitties now even kids and adults with allergies can have the Power of the Purr.

We had a cat for 19 years that could snuggle up to my children and calm them right to sleep with his purr.  Our other cats were not loving at all and would run from small children.  I invented Catnap Kitties to simulate the subtle sound and comforting feel of holding a purring cat for people who can’t have a real cat for some reason.

Cute product. I have a cat and there is nothing more soothing than coming home from a stressful day to your pet. This is a good idea for people who cannot have pets but want the pet and purrrr.

The Woofer is a dog coat that lets you play songs from your Ipod or other MP3 players on their back. This enables more dog interaction in our lives beyond eating biscuits and barking. Each Woofer is hand-made in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Share your music with friends and dogs while walking, running, or playing fetch in a dog park. If you are a musician you can play your songs off the back of your best friend. Take out your ear buds and bring your music to the streets.

Veterinary specialist Dr. Stephen Meister has certified this product.

A portion of each Woofer sold will be donated to Philadelphia pet charities.

After some years in advertising and marketing, it hit me that dogs need speakers.  I have always given clients weird and wacky marketing ideas.  The Woofer is at its core a media outlet.  Advertise the music that you make or the music that you love.   Play what you want on the dogs that you love.

Inventor: Matthew Baron

Advertising, music, movies, sport, staging, marketing, dance.  I have always been an entertainer and out to make a statement.  Before making The Woofer, I made a coat for people with speakers and an amplifier that I could plug an Ipod into.  I love the show and I love taking entertainment and the expression of your art out to the park and on the street.  I believe in starting a party wherever you are.

When I invented The Woofer and tested it, I did as best as I could.  I spent a lot of time learning wiring and speakers and sewing and dog friendly fabrics and everything else about starting a business.   When it was finally on the dogs, it was not as loud as I thought it should be.  Half of the sound was muffled from the inner padding and the body of the dog.  So after all this learning, I had to start learning about making amplifiers.  This product is for my artist friends and the sound has to be clear and crisp.
