During my background in law enforcement I went on an interview with 300 other applicants in a field I had no experience in. I am a quick learner and thought I would apply. The interviewer told me they were only interviewing 10 applicants, and I was in the top three. She hired me, and to my amazement, I asked her WHY? Her answer changed my life....because you can spell. I would like to empower others to have a good education, with a future filled with hope and dreams instead of poverty. Knowledge is the benefit of education!

Inventor: Sandy Evans
My background is in law, and educational game developing and research. I have published books on philosophy, health and nutrition. Comet, The Fast Path to Learning has taken years of writing and developing. We currently have available our Family Edition, Bible Edition and Children’s Game Card Edition. Further editions have already been written on Health, History, Graduate, Master, College and Art.
When first doing R&D...the game was played in a school in B.C Canada...the children liked the game, and the fun facts, there was just one thing...they wanted to play it longer, so we redesigned the game board to go around three times to ensure they have more fun as they wished. When learning is fun, everyone will benefit!

I live in the city and over 6 years ago adopted two adorable Kitties, Madi and Abi. I have a ?courtyard and love to cookout; enjoy the sunshine, read a book in my outdoor area. It is?enclosed by a lovely iron gate, and although aesthetically pleasing; my curious cats can easily ?squeeze under, through and around the gate leaving them exposed to the dangers of the great ?outdoors. Wanting to ‘screen’ out the area and make a big CATIO, I was confronted with city regulations and restrictions that would not permit me to totally enclose the courtyard. I realized an outdoor enclosure was going to be a must have for us. Something that would? offer a pleasant, comfortable area for them to safely bask in the sun and enjoy their?surroundings; all without the threat of running away, getting hit by a car etc. And this is where it?all starts………….the Kritter Kondo Catio began its progression…
Living in a Condo, small spaces is always a consideration so I wanted their enclosure to be? something that is big enough for them to relax and move around, but not too big for my available ?living space. When not in use, I wanted the enclosure to be something I can easily store, that? won’t take up a great deal of closet space. In addition, I wanted something that is easy to set up?and tear down without a lot of building or pieces to manage. If I ever leave it out in the rain, I? wanted it to be okay and not ruin. Lastly, I wanted my Catio to be aesthetically pleasing and resemble a ?children’s toy more than a wired cage.
With the help of an engineering firm, I have designed an outdoor catio that I believe meets all of ?these requirements. The Kritter Kondo is a one-piece structure that easily folds down when not ?in use. (I slide mine right under my bed when the season is over) It comes with a carrying case?that has a handle and a shoulder strap for easy mobility. If the Kritter Kondo is accidentally left out in the rain, no problem…it is water resistant.
Although the Kritter Kondo Catio was designed for the cat owner in mind; it can be a perfect playpen for small dogs too! Many dog owners have already made comments that it would be ideal for ?using at the park, when traveling, and tailgating.
Having the ability to take Madi and Abi outside with me has been so much fun. They absolutely? love basking in the sun and have so many things to watch in their outdoor habitat. Since they ?enjoy themselves in the Kritter Kondo, they have become quite the talk of the neighborhood. My? urban aristocrats get lots of attention from people walking by. Of course Madi and Abi love all? the ooing and ahhing and tend to turn on the charm for spectators by rolling around on their?backs and looking real cute. I eventually had to take the doorbell battery out of my doorbell due to the amount of inquiries coming to us.
All this positive feedback and interest from the community made me realize many people have the same need. The first Kondo (Kritter Kondo Original) launched in September 2009 and now in July 2010 the second Kondo (Kritter Kondo Deluxe) will be available.
And I am not stopping to design and build innovative Catios………. but I can’t tell you everything just yet <:)
Inventor: Lisa Illman
Lisa Illman is the President and Founder of Kritter Kommunity. Born in 2009 out of her passion for pets, Lisa’s vision for Kritter Kommunity was first conceived as she observed her rescue cats, Madi and Abi’s sad faces as they peered longingly outdoors. A city dweller from Philadelphia, not only is Lisa kitten smitten, but she loves being outdoors – cooking, reading a book, relaxing. With her heart set on creating a fanciful catio for Madi and Abi, Lisa was discouraged when she learned that city building restrictions would limit her. She quickly realized that in order for her entire family to enjoy the outdoors together, she would need to create a safe, effective outdoor cat enclosure.
In 2008, Lisa designed a prototype enclosure for Madi and Abi and they were more than happy to be her first product testers. Living in the city center, Lisa began receiving feedback from neighbors and passers by. Lisa actually had to remove the battery in her doorbell because she was receiving so many inquiries. Realizing the urgent need and demand for reliable and effective catio furniture, Lisa launched Kritter Kommunity and the rest is history.
Although the original Kritter Kondo was designed with the cat owner in mind, Lisa soon found that small dog owners were praising this safe and effective method of containing their small pooches, outdoors. Suitable for up to three cats and dogs less than 35 pounds, Kritter Kondos have taken the pet world by storm.
Armed with a Bachelor of Arts degree in English from Pennsylvania State University, more than 15 years of sales and marketing experience, and numerous professional awards, Lisa recently quit her full time job as an Energy Account Manager with the Hess Corporation to grow Kritter Kommunity into a world wide brand. Lisa’s professional experience is sure to give her a ‘leg up’ as she launches Kritter Kommunity to pet lovers across the country.
According to Lisa, “My passion lies in helping pets and their owners live their best lives. At Kritter Kommunity, we believe that all pets deserve time exploring the sunny outdoors. We also believe that in order to keep pets safe from disease, other animals and motorists, they need to be safely contained. Kritter Kondo provides an effective solution for cats and small dogs so that they can happily enjoy the outdoors with the rest of their family.”
During my first demo at a local pet store, I crawled inside my prototype to ‘straighten’ it out and make it look ‘neat and nice’ for the demo I was in the middle of conducting. On all fours like my furry friends, I lost my balance inside the Kondo – felt to the side. In a panic, I firmly gripped the side netting pulling the entire enclosure down on myself. The folks at Pets Plus were highly amused as I continued to tackle the Kondo and managed to tangle myself into a new invention affectionately referred to as “LIVE CATCH” Note to myself: the Kritter Kondo is for pets only, not suitable for frantic humans.

This game is really great! A friend of ours gave it to us as a gift. We never imagined the game to be so much fun!. I especially like the color of the board and the design. My husband raves about all of the detail in the board as well as the … more instructional value from the cards and playing the game. In comparing the two products here, I can see the use of the other one but there are other products which I think provide much more for same or about the price I see posted. Pardon my opinion, but our family has found the Comet game a better value.
