The Clingy Cord is the perfect accessory for any child in the dropping, throwing, loosing or just tossing-for-fun stages.  It is a decorative, elastic cord that secures sippy cups, bottles, security blankets, toys, pacifiers and more, to the stroller, high chair, car seat, shopping cart, diaper bag, etc., so when the child throws their precious belongings it never hits the dirty floor.  This eliminates the need to retrieve their items over and over again.  It is back saving, germ saving and sanity saving.

My fabric is in accordance to the CPSIA guidelines, my solid plastic balls are BPA Free and we have sewn the Clingy Cord in the middle.

I had my first child in September of 2004.   As a new mom I was always concerned about my daughter getting sick or putting dirty things in her mouth that have fallen to the floor.  I was constantly cleaning everything she came into contact with and got so upset when her things would hit the dirty floor.  I first wanted to find a cute shopping cart cover to keep her from touching the dirty shopping carts in grocery stores.  After some time I couldn’t find one that was cute so I bought a pattern on ebay and began sewing.  Now, I’ve never sewn anything in my life so I was a little rusty in the beginning but as I kept trying I become better and found that I really liked sewing.  After our incident in the American girl doll store (read below) my husband and I were determined to find a product that would secure our daughter’s blanket.  Well, after months of searching we decided to try to make it ourselves.  After many, many prototypes we finally came up with a design that we were happy with.  I made a few dozen of them to give out to family and friends, I even gave a few to moms in the mall or grocery store who had a child with a sippy cup.  As word started to spread about my product more and more people were asking for one.  At that point my husband and I knew that we were onto something.  Since then I have grown a handmade product into a business.  Every person who buys the Clingy Cord raves about how great it is.  I am very proud of my invention and want to see my business succeed.

I have a BS in Marketing from a small college in the suburbs of Philadelphia.  I started my career as a Pharmaceutical Sales representative after college and worked as a rep up until I had my daughter in 2004.  After I had my daughter I became a stay-at-home mom.  I started CaitiMac Creations in spring 2007.   That fall I gave birth to my son and in February of 2010 I had another baby girl.  I feel very blessed to be a Stay-at-home mom and a mom entrepreneur.

Two weeks before Christmas in 2006 my husband and I traveled to New York City with our then 2 year old daughter, Caitlin.  We visited the American girl doll store to purchase our daughter her first American girl doll.  The store was packed, there was barely enough room to push our stroller.  In the midst of all the chaos in the store we noticed that my daughter’s precious bunny blanket, named Noanie, was missing.  We ripped the stroller apart, looked all around us, my husband ran up to the security guard desperately trying to explain to him that we lost our daughters pink bunny blanket.  We can laugh now but we were seriously expecting him to get on his headphones and contact the other security guards in the store to put out an APB for our missing bunny blanket.  Finally, after minutes of sheer terror we found Noanie in the bottom of the stroller.  At that point we knew that we needed to find something to secure her precious Noanie to the stroller so we won’t have to go through that traumatizing experience again.

This is the most practical gift to give a new mom,. Keeps cups, blankets, toys off the floor and germ free. Just told a mom of twins about it and she is looking it up.

Clingy Cord is the most amazing gift I got and I give to everyone that has a child. Not only does it save you from finding sippy cups, stuffed animals and small blankets in obscure places- but it also keeps them off the ground so you are not constantlymore washing and worried about germs. You can use the clingy cord anywhere- car, stroller, highchair, restaurant, diaper bag. I have 3 that I keep in their places! I have even used it on my daughter in a busy place to keep her attached to me :)

Tee Stackers allows a hitter to stack 2-3 balls on a hitting tee at one time. If the hitter is on plane at contact then the struck ball leaves and the tee stacker leaves, leaving the next ball ready to hit. If , however, the hitter is off plane at contact, then it compresses the tee stacker onto the bottom ball and it will fall. This gives immediate feedback to the hitter as to the his/her swing quality with or without a coach present. Another great thing is the enhanced focus needed to be successful hitting the Stackers. Every return swing is in a different plane, so the hand eye coordination needed really mimics tracking a ball in a static setting. It creates a challenge and fun for tee hitting , and gives the player and coaches numerous drills for practice. Truly helps eliminate weak ground balls and pop ups, and enhance line drives.

I was a Division 1 softball Coach at Oklahoma State University for 23 years. We had 900 wins and made 6 trips to the Women’s College World Series during that time. Often times we would send our players home over the summer with workouts and they would sometimes come back with some bad habits from tee hitting. It became mundane and their focus waned. I often wondered how to improve the situation. After I retired I maintained an interest in helping kids get better. One day it occurred to me that by stacking balls on a tee you could achieve several things. One, you could provide several different planes for hitters to hit through. But more importantly, a hitter would really have to focus on hitting through the top ball cleanly in order to keep the bottom ball from falling. This cre4ated more line drives and fewer weak ground balls and pop ups. When tested with younger players, they were frustrated at first until they had success. Once they did, they gained tremendous confidence and began challenging each other at practice. Then, I asked a current Division 1 one coach to test the theory with his team for 6 months using our prototypes before we went to market. He did so and was really sold on it, as were his players. To this day they leave the tee stackers attached to all of their tees so the players can use them at will. That was 31/2 years ago. They also saved time as fewer swings are required because they are quality swings, not quantity. Today, many high schools and colleges use the Stackers.

They work well for both softball and baseball and for run and slap lefty hitters wanting to work on line drives through the infield. However, in your hitting theory is to “hit hard and down though the ball” instead of getting on plane through the ball at contact, then the stackers will only help you by providing different planes to hit through. Either way, it still provides more fun and challenge while learning great hitting skills.

We found out that our design allowed a person to fit together the 2 Tee Stackers to make one taller stacker. That wasn’t originally intended, but has worked out to be a neat feature for the Stackers. This works great for young baseball hitters in particular who need more space between the balls, but also allows advanced hitters to have to quickly adjust their eyes to a much lower plane on the return swing.

I also got a call from a junior college coach who told me she had several players who could hit the bottom ball and have the top ball fall and stay on the tee. So, they were hitting not only from the top down, but from the bottom up!
