The idea for Instant Button® started after my third child. I was constantly adjusting the waistband of my favorite jeans’ because I was stuck in-between sizes. I tried using belts to secure my jeans, but it was bulky and added another layer of thickness to my waist. Then, I tried using safety pins to shrink the waistband. After months of poking my fingers and body with the pins, I knew that I was on a mission to find a solution.
I designed the Instant Button® to solve the common problems that most of us have (weight gained, weight lost, in-between sizes, gapping in the back, and missing button) that can impact the waistline and therefore, the fit of a pair of pants/jeans.
Inventor: Dana Hanh Contey
Dana Hanh Contey is a Vietnamese-born American, fourth of the eight siblings, wife and mother of three beautiful children – 2 boys ages 9 & 7 and a 4 year old girl.
At age 6, while immigrating to the United States, Dana learned about karma after her mom turned in a bag of diamonds, that Dana found, to the lost and found in Kuala Lumpar. Growing up as an adult, Dana has lived her life through her mom’s struggles and caring heart. She learned to live life right and to be giving to others. In joined efforts with her family, friends, and non-profit organizations in the community, she has coordinated multiple charity events to raise money for the flood victims in Vietnam, as well as, victims of September 11, Asia Tsunami, and hurricane Katrina.
Dana began her career in PC sales but in 2007 founded KTR Enterprise, LLC. After her own struggle of fitting into her favorite pair of jeans, she invented the Instant Button®. As featured on The Today Show, The View, and The Martha Stewart Show, Instant Button® is the original patent pending, removable and reusable button that allows you to add or reduce your pants size instantly for that tailored fit without requiring a belt or an alteration.
After discovering how a safety pin had help tighten my waistband without creating an extra layer of thickness on my waist, I demonstrated it to my former manager, who was my #1 advocate. I didn’t have him sign an NDA but excitingly I said to him, “You are a very nice person and I trust you very much. And, you are religious so promise me you won’t tell anyone about what I am about to show you.”
Up to this day, we still laugh at how he being religious had anything to do with a promise.

Fabulous idea for those who needed to keep their brand name jeans that cost fortune.Also, I would buy few to a keep it in my purse to have it handy.Incase, my handcup button or jacket button is fallen off.Trust me it happen all the time...
