The Rodenator product is a burrowing pest animal control device.  It allows the operator to inject a mixture of propane and oxygen down the animal’s tunnel system and ignite the gas.  The concussive force produced by the ignition of the gasses instantly and humanly kills the animal.  The animal’s life is terminated instantly without the use of chemicals, poisons, or inhumane trapping devices.  The tunnel system in some species of animals is destroyed preventing re-infestation.

The system comes complete excluding a cylinder of propane and a cylinder of oxygen.   The propane tank is the one commonly used on a barbeque, and the oxygen tank is the one used on most acetylene/oxygen cutting torch setups.

The Rodenator was developed without the intention of being produced for the public.  It was developed on our ranch to eliminate a problem we had with pocket gophers and ground squirrels on our alfalfa fields.  Our design worked very well and created some interest from our neighbors.  After we made some for our neighbors we thought there may be a need for others.  That winter we built a few units and rented a booth at a large farm show.  We were shocked at the response from the attendees of the show.  We were in high demand selling the stock we took with us and coming home with orders for more.   In time we have developed three models to cover all ranges of use.

Inventor(s): Ed Meyer or Steve Bloomfield

The person behind the product Is Ed Meyer.  I grew up in Idaho on a family owned cattle ranch.  After several years in college trying to figure out what I wanted to do for a living I decided to take some time off and go home to help out on the ranch.  While I was taking some time off from school is when I saw the need for something to clean up the gophers on our family ranch.  Driving a swather all day long gives you some time to think.  The first prototypes put together were a bit crude, but they did work.

Since starting the Rodenator business I have been able to expand sales to many foreign countries.  Burrowing pests are a problem to land owners all around the world, and I have just the product to help them out.

A couple of years ago I was invited to be on a TV Reality Show with the Rodenator.  The producers of American Idol had a show about them owning a vineyard and all of the problems that came with it, named “Corkscrewed, the wrath of grapes”.  What a fun time making the episode the Rodenator and I debuted on.  John Deere Corp has also made a comical video of the Rodenator going after the Saber Toothed Gopher that they showed around the world as entertainment value during their John Deere Days events every year.  The Rodenator has been a very fun product to market.  Everybody that sees it work gets a big smile on their face.  I enjoy providing a smile for others.

OMG, this is the coolest thing I have ever seen!!! Watch out Bill Murry, this time they get the gopher. I have heard about this thing and want one so bad, if I had some gophers to kill, I would have a Rodenator of my own.

The Yucycle is a brand new cycling vehicle designed to produce a distinctive and exciting new riding experience for ages 12 and up. Unlike any other cycle, it combines the "no-hands" steering characteristics of a unicycle with the easy balance stability of a tricycle. The Yucycle is a super fun and exciting new vehicle that everyone finds surprisingly easy to ride and can perform maneuvers unlike anything else you've ever ridden.

As easy as it is to ride, the Yucycle still allows for innovative trick moves and skill challenging riding techniques that even hard-core riders can appreciate. You can also just relax and cruise around with your child or friend hopping a ride on the back. It's designed for riding double!

That first turn you pedal through without using your hands will have you hooked. The Yucycle is cool, it's different and it's easy, but most of all it's really, really fun!

I gave my 10 year old son a unicycle for Christmas a few years ago. He is an avid skateboarder, snowboarder etc. and thought it would be no problem to learn. After a month of trying, he gave up. We believe this is why unicycles never became a big fad. That was our inspiration. My brother and I brainstormed and worked on developing a new vehicle that was easy to ride and could be enjoyed by everyone.

Inventor: Scott Comstock

My brother, Kurt, and I came from a family of nine kids. We didn’t have a lot of money growing up and that encouraged us to always be creative and invent our own games and toys. We later started a graphic design studio together where we specialized in helping our clients with their packaging design and product development. Along the way we would invent various products ourselves and license them to manufacturers and receive royalties for compensation. We’ve learned from our clients by both their successes and mistakes. We have made great relationships and contacts through the years that have made it possible for us to develop, source manufacturing and market the Yucycle ourselves.

The first name we came up with for our new invention was the “Mycycle”, kind of a take off the popular “Myspace” name. We then found out the domain name “Mycycle” was already taken by a feminine hygiene company dealing with women’s menstrual cycles. We didn’t want there to be any confusion between the two products so we changed the name to “Yucycle” which is a combination of “unicycle” and “youcycle”.
