THE STORY BEHIND CUFFSOX
“Got a tooth ache, put a pebble in your shoe.”
When you spend a lot of time outdoors, on the job, or in the fields, you know one of the biggest nuisances is getting stuff in your boots. CUFFSOX™ boot socks patented construction, developed by a Builder, Jules Sghiatti, because he was frustrated by the everyday annoyances that regular boot socks inflicted on his workday.
Jules Sghiatti has been an entrepreneur in the building industry for over 25 years. During the workday, he was always annoyed with his socks slipping into his boots so he wore very long tube socks that he could manipulate to form a cuff over the top of his boot. One day after work, he was sitting down on a bench removing his boots and socks when his sister-in-law noticed the strange sock configuration, and asked him why he did it that. He explained to her that it helped to keep his socks from slipping down into his boots all day and most of all, is a great way to keep debris from falling into his boots while on the jobsite. The socks also keep the laces tied and safely concealed. She suggested that he should market a sock like that. After some thought and research into the design of the sock, Jules found a local manufacturer to help develop the first prototype.
Jules developed his sock and obtained his patent in 2002. The patent covers the utility of the sock and the method of manufacturing. Since 2002, he has worked with a few different sock manufacturers to perfect his boot sock. Soon after obtaining a licensing agreement with a highly regarded sock manufacturer, the manufacturer was purchased by a worldwide group, and unfortunately decided to discontinue their line of work wear hosiery.
Then 2007, Jules decided to market his boot socks on his own – a sock like no other on the market. He found a hosiery manufacturer who saw his vision and CUFFSOX was launched in January 2008.
CUFFSOX™ introduces new ultimate boot socks with patented built-in gaiters that will revolutionalize traditional boot socks for today’s workforce and outdoor enthusiasts. Made in the USA.

I love this product! I know it works even though I use to cuff my socks with hiking socks. It was never long enough too cuff, but I did it. These Cuffsox are much better thought out b/c t included the protection of sensitive points that are crucial in … more hiking, walking, etc. I have athlete sox-arch support, heel and ball support- I paid for 4.95 and it was not a long enough. Socks are sooo good that I hate to ever wear them-I have had them for years. The price is reasonable. By the way...I have looked for years for this type and still cannot find the same pair w/cuffs with the comfort and support it gives. It is nothing like a great snug and grip on my feet to keep dirt out. Need to try it to believe the purpose of making your feet good. It is a different feeling, esp. with the sock arch support. Really!!

I know Cuffsox is a good idea. I use tube socks for the same purpose. I suggest you meet or beat their price.

Wow, I love the site and appreciate that you are highlighting inventors. Cuffsox are really smart, they stow laces. I think the military will catch on - that's a very big market that puts safety first.

They work great in snow! They are designed to work best with 8" boots, but they will still work, depends on how big the tops of your boots are. We are coming out with a new style to handle the bigger boots.
