Although there have been numerous products that have been marketed regarding notebook stands none has the unique features that ours does.   Our product is sleek, compact, lightweight, and can be used on a desktop, in your lap, or on the fold down tray of an airplane.  Moreover, our product solves the tilt issue that is
created when a passenger seated in coach reclines their seat forcing the
laptop screen of the passenger seated behind them to improperly tilt towards
the user restricting a proper view.  When finished with the product, you
simply lift up on the center tab and the entire unit retracts into an object
that is as flat and thin as a common legal pad.  Force Retail Stores) PX
Stores throughout the world.

I used to fly often and I would always get annoyed when while seated in coach the passenger would recline their seat and the angle of their seat would push my
laptop screen back towards me making it difficult for me to view my screen.
One trip while working on a report it happened and I lifted up the rear of
my laptop and I was able to position my screen back to a viewable position.
I began making them in my garage workshop and after sever ties and numerous
prototypes I was able to refine the product into the current product.  The
product was just recently selected to go into all of the Army and Air Force
Retail stores on all military bases throughout the world.

My wife is an artist and she would always comment that she was happy with
the product and would wonder why I continued making new models of the
product.  When I finally made the new and current model, she was happy that
I did not settle for the first prototype.

UP-N-AWAY Track, Holiday Light Track System is a  new way of hanging, removing and storing exterior holiday lights using a track and clips. If you are tired of going up and down the ladder and spending hours hanging lights, just think you can hang those lights in minutes now with this new ladder--less system. It is like a curtain rod for exterior home lights with a permanently installed track. Special clips attach to your existing lights, no need to buy new ones. One end of the clip slides in the track and then the lights can be pulled into place. A camlock holds them in place until it is time to take the lights down when the lights slide onto a separate storage rack.  The storage rack keeps them organized and ready to go for the next year.

It consists of 32 feet of track, 32 clips and 4 camlocks (to keep lights tight in place), mounting hardware, one storage rack and installation instruction.

As a child I could not understand why some people left their Christmas lights up all year – didn’t they know the holiday was over. Obviously I did not understand the effort it took to get those lights up there. Then came the time when my elderly in-laws moved to a retirement community where everyone decorated and my husband (who had fallen off ladders several times) was called upon to do the exterior home light decorating. It was an all day event and I never knew if he would come home in one piece. One day while he was away hanging their holiday lights, I thought why does this need to be so difficult. We do not go up and down the ladder to open and close our curtains or draperies. Then a light bulb went on in my head, why not hang exterior home lights from a similar rod or track. It has taken many years of planning, developing, patenting, etc to bring it to market.

Inventor: Karren Moreland

I am a nutrition support dietitian for critically ill patients fed by tube or IV by day and an inventor by night. I love dreaming up new ideas. At this point I still work at my day job. I am a leader in my field as a dietitian and have recently co-authored a guidebook for dietitians that has just come to market.  I really love what I do but dream of having more time to pursue invention development.  The process of inventing UP-N-AWAY Track has led me to meet many people who I would have never known. It has lead me to learn so much about product development, prototyping, patenting, etc that I would have never been exposed to otherwise.

One of the most rewarding things about my attempts so far to bring this product to market has been the response of customers. I live in the Southwest (read a western time zone), I was awakened early one morning (6AM) by a Boston area customer who just had to call and tell me how much he loved UP-N-AWAY Track in a thick Boston accent. He had a house with many steep gables and he wanted me to know how cool it was to pull the lights up on one side of the gable and let them slide down the other side on their own.  The phone call made my day.

Great idea!!! I love their you-tube. I think their slogan there should be so easy even an idiot can do it! No disrespect but the actor in the video was playing a pretty clueless guy. I think this is a definite winner!
