PortaPocket is a lightweight, streamlined strap-on carrying case system that allows one to safely & comfortably transport small valuables & other items of personal importance ON the body without risk of theft, loss & inconvenience. The Essentials+ kit is designed for use on thigh, calf, ankle or arm, and under or over the clothing. Pockets are detachable for ease of use, and interchangeable to fit items of various size: ID, money, credit & business cards, lipstick, keys, cell phones, tampons, iPods, more.

Ideal for use while exercising, dancing/nightclubbing, jogging, standing up at weddings, enjoying amusement parks, vacationing, walking the dog, running errands and even everyday use. No pockets? No problem! Can also be used in conjunction with a purse to make sure that the things you REALLY can't afford to lose are safely on your person.

Accessory pockets & belts also available to allow for use at the waist, and to suit additional items like passports, inhalers, insulin pumps, & EpiPens (for those with allergy issues), etc.

It all started as a result from a little mishap with an errant spare hygiene item which made an unscheduled 10-min appearance at my gym 2 years ago (whoops!) ...and I was the only female there at the time. Nice. (sigh). So I got a little miffed & all embarrassed, picked it up, went home, designed a product and started a company. But of course! why not! After all...what woman HASN'T had a "situation" if you know what I mean? And just think about how many of your clothes have no or non-functional pockets...

We're constantly sticking things in our bras, socks, shoes, or up our sleeves to get by, aren't we? And even men have issues with pockets on those upside down loops on the roller coasters. And they get victimized by pickpockets, too. So this is really for everyone....if you work out, travel, go out on the town, or have a pulse...this is for you! :-))

Inventor: Kendra Kroll

I'm a Chicago gal who'd been a professional in the special events industry for 17+ years and then switched to real estate after the birth of my daughter ~5 years ago. Of course the market was starting to tank so my timing couldn't have been worse. But then the infamous gym snafu happened and set me on an entrepreneurial path I never expected.

Seeing something I designed and nurtured come to life has been a labor of love almost like having another child, and probably even more expensive! :)  But it is so rewarding when a PortaPocket purchaser tells me how much they love the product and how it has helped make their life easier. It's truly the best reward.

I find that this creation really embodies the things I most enjoy -- travel, life celebrations, and fitness...PortaPocket is an ideal partner for all of those activities... I truly hope you enjoy it, too!

As a fledgling business, it's always a challenge with those start-up costs, but one thing I feel is very important is to have social responsibility as a pillar of our foundation. I have lost 2 friends 40 and younger to breast cancer and we have an on-going commitment to donate to breast cancer research as well as jdrf for those with diabetes. We also work with Avenues to Independence, a terrific organization that employs developmentally disabled adults, for some of our warehousing & fulfillment needs. It's all about building a business we can be proud of, and one that makes an effort to make a difference.

Love this product! Easy to use and very practical. People always ask me about it when they see it. I love that the pocket can be hidden and never looks bulky under clothes!

I love this. I can carry my bally's card and locker key, along with some cash when I exercise. Great idea. I am going to use it for traveling as well. I won't have to be scared to death of leaving my purse somewhere. My credit card, cash, and ID willmore be with me all the time...and well hidden. It is about time someone came up with something that is actually useful!

Board Book Albums, LLC  is proud to offer the new Take Your Pix ™ board book photo albums (patent pending) that have sturdy pages, into which photos can be inserted from an opening in the top of the pages.  Unlike traditional photo albums, our albums have thick rigid pages that will not bend or tear.  Notches have been added to the page edges to facilitate page turning.

Each photo album is 7" x 7" with 10 white pages inside the cover.  Each album holds 20  4" x 6" photos and has a cover photo frame that holds a slightly smaller photo (about 4" x 5", so you can just trim a 4" x 6" photo to fit).  Our blank white Take Your Pix ™ board book albums are blank with no lettering.  You can personalize them by adding your own photo inside the cover frame.  The solid white albums are perfect for wedding albums, scrapbooking and decorating yourself.  Kids can have fun decorating their own books with stickers, stamps, or markers.  Grandparents love to give and receive our albums as gifts!  The white albums are perfect for wedding showers gifts, bridesmaid’s gifts, and wedding reception favors.  They make a great alternative to the high-priced albums offered by professional photographers.

We also offer pink, blue and yellow “My First Photos” style albums that have the "My First Photo" lettering on the cover and come with a removable baby photo in the cover frame.  The “My First Photos” style albums are perfect for toddlers, expectant moms or to give as baby shower gifts.

In January 2007 when our daughter, Lucia, was only a year old, we realized that she was somewhat behind her peers in meeting certain developmental milestones.  We began having regular sessions with a physical therapist and an early learning specialist. It’s amazing to see how much progress Lucia has made!  She is now walking well (started at age 2.5 yrs.) and is saying lots more words. The early learning specialist (who is like a speech therapist, but works with children before they begin to talk) suggested that I make Lucia a photo album to fill with photos of her family, toys, and other familiar objects in her world.  Lucia quickly tore up the album that I made for her.  When I was unable to find a kid-friendly photo album, I came up with the idea to create a board book photo album. This album has been a wonderful learning tool for Lucia. She loves to turn the pages and look at photos of her family, toys, and other familiar objects in her world.

Studies have shown that young children only have object recognition with photos. This means that before the age of two, they are unable relate a drawing of an object with the actual object, but they can relate a photo of the object with the actual object.  My hope is that many children will enjoy our board book style photo albums. Kids with autism, speech delay, or other special needs may find it particularly beneficial as a learning tool, or just something fun to create with their own favorite photos. Kids love photo albums.  Now parents can give their kids their own albums, without worrying about the photos being damaged.  The new “Take Your Pix™” board book photo album (patent pending) is unlike any photo album that you’ve seen before!

Inventor: Laura Miranti

My name is Laura Miranti and I live in The Woodlands, Texas. I am married and have three great kids – Slone (12), Marren (9) and Lucia (3), and a baby girl due in Nov. 2009.  Family has always been my first priority, so I decided to stay home with the kids after our daughter Lucia was born in Jan. 2006.  As a CPA, I was able to keep my accounting job and work from home until Feb. 2009, when I was laid off.  I began setting up the business during the years that I worked from home.   Working from home allowed me to set my own schedule and work late hours, freeing up time during the day for the kids activities and family time.  Now I am focusing on Board Book Albums full time, so that I can still stay home and spend time with the kids, while building a successful business at the same time.

If you buy one of our "My First Photos" style albums for your young child, you may find that your older kids take an interest, too and then the kids fight over them!  We learned this from experience.  Our albums are lots of fun for all ages!

These are great photo albums and contrary to a previous post, the photos (4x6) do not have to be trimmed, they slide in perfectly. These are sturdy and great quality. Love them!

I like the ability to customize it. Not so much that I have to trim the photos to fit.
