A simple bottle-shaped plastic device, the LimeBomber™ easily squeezes and inserts lime and other fruit wedges into the narrow openings of beer, soda, iced tea or water bottles in one swift motion – a convenient, sanitary, fun way to enjoy a popular trend.

Being an avid golfer, there's nothing like an ice cold beer after you've been hacking your way around the golf course for four to five hours.

John is the locker room attendant/ bartender where I play golf. Unlike most bartenders, John has many functions that go well beyond just tending bar, lets just say he's got his hands in everything! Now, before I go on with the story, I feel obligated to tell you a little bit about John. You see, John is one of those guys that if you’re lucky enough to meet, you will never forget. He goes out of his way to make others feel good regardless of how he's feeling. In a world of some of the most high-powered executives, celebrities and entrepreneurs, he is an extreme dose of realism that touches everyone that’s fortunate enough to meet him. He has the personality of ten all rolled up into one, and we love him!

I get done with my round of golf and make my way to the locker room bar. John greets me as usual and asks me "what would you like to drink"? I told John "a bottle of Corona with a lime". Now, I've already told you John likes to go the extra mile in everything he does, so picture this. John brings me a bottle of Corona and has his shoe polished, yellow nailed smoker’s finger halfway down my bottle of beer. I said, John "make it a Miller Lite", and the rest is history!

Inventor: Brian Hill

Hill is not new to inventive ideas. While at Redi-Cut Foods, he helped develop a process for extracting moisture from produce without spinning, a process that all but eliminated food damage while drying, and a huge revolution in the industry. Major restaurants, McDonald's included, have used the process to get longer shelf life for tossed salads. After years of running his consulting firm, Brian Hill and Associates, he founded Palcon Systems. At Palcon, Hill developed a device that let warehouse workers know when pallets were stored in place perfectly with a laser-triggered sound. Both ideas were extraordinarily successful, but with the Lime Bomber™, Hill has taken on an entirely new challenge. There is still a long road to travel, and the horizon is ripe with opportunity, none of which is lost on Hill. “Good things take time,” he says, proving that, in a day and age where so much doubt hangs over the nation, the entrepreneurial spirit is alive and well.

Lime Bomber consists of two parts, a “loader”, and a “plunger”, and is amazingly easy to use: simply place the fruit wedge into the “loader” that sits on top of a bottle, then push the “plunger” down into the loader, and viola! – no sticky fingers, no spraying juices, and your beverage just the way you like it.

This helpful item certainly takes the 'grunt' out of getting a lime into beer bottle. One cut into a lime, add to lime bomber, result is more sipping time! I love mine.

This is a paint tray that hangs on an extension ladder vertically or horizontally on a step ladder. It has hooks to hold 2 brushes and a holder for a 9” roller.  It holds ½ gallon of paint.  The drain spout on the side is great for pouring back any unused paint and for cutting clean up time in ½.  When you are done painting, clean the tools, hang them back in the tray and stand it up in the garage. A great place to hang paint brushes to dry.

I was painting my house and was at the top of the ladder. Trying to juggle the roller & brush, I dropped the brush.  After climbing down and cleaning the brush and taking everything back up the ladder, I wasn’t happy. When it happened again, I thought “There has to be somewhere to hang tools as you are painting without dropping them and still stay safe.”  By the time I finished that side of the house, I figured it out and went home and made a prototype and began the process.

Inventor: Carolyn Keane

I am a single mom who is a licensed Interior Designer as well as a Real Estate Broker.  I have lived in Florida since graduating from Syracuse in 1975 with my degree in Environmental Design.  I have 2 kids.  My son is a graduate of Univ of Central Florida and is a Pharmaceutical Rep in Florida. My daughter is an actress is LA, a graduate of Cal State Fullerton.  Both of my kids have helped with the business. My son worked the National Hardware Show with me in ’08 and had to take over the meetings when I became ill and was hospitalized.  He met with the buyers and ran the show for me.  He continues to work the shows.  My daughter was with me at the National Hardware Show this year.  She handled the booth while I had meetings. Both know the value of hard work and going for your dream.  They are watching it happen.

I have learned more that I ever thought I would need to know about manufacturing plastics.  When I received my first actual pieces, I filled a few up with water and they leaked all over the counter.  I had no idea that the caps I ordered didn’t fit right and that the edge of the spout was never going to be perfect.  Just when I thought I was ready to sell, I had to redo that part. We ended up using an O-ring that fits in each cap, to seal the opening.  Finding the right one took another few weeks of trial & error.  We finally found a supplier of O-rings.

We sold quite a few at the Home Shows last year. I had a call about 6 weeks ago from someone who bought one and was transporting it back & forth from Vermont to Florida. They decided to buy a second one.  Where did we meet to get him the tray?  In the parking lot of Lowes.  When I can get in to see the buyer there, I will tell them it should be in their store, not being sold in the parking lot.

What a great idea! Looks like you put an end to the balancing act that is painting on a ladder. I will share this.
