The Nappernoo was invented by grandparents for their grandchildren. We got
tired of the kids falling over in their booster seats. We sometimes would
have to stop on the highway to set my grandson back up from a slouched and
very uncomfortable position. Besides that, it seems it isn’t very safe for
them to be flopping and bouncing like they are a rag doll. We fixed the
problem. We started with several different designs and finally came up
with the design we chose. My husband Bill and I both designed it. We did
it out of love for our grandkids and turned into a great product for kids, parents and grandparents alike.

My husband and I live in a small town in Northeastern Michigan. He is a
master plumber in the company that I own. We decided to go that way so if
something happened to him, I could hire a master plumber. I also own the
Naps llc which was started for the comfort seat device which we call the
Nappernoo. We are parents, grandparents. We love dogs and love to fish on
Lake Huron or Hubbard lake (the good Walleye lake in this area). I stay at
home(our business is at home) and run both businesses and am trying my
best to market my comfort seat device (Nappernoo). I sell on many sites on line and hope to have that special person or company see the Nappernoo and want to
buy my patent. It is so important to me that people know just how good
this is for kids. That is why we invented it.
This invention was invented for my grandkids who were 4 and 5 at that time. They are now 8 and 9 and still use the Nappernoos without their booster seats. They have used the same ones for 4 years and they are still in great shape. My
daughter has washed and dryed them time after time and still they seem to
just last forever. If all kids could try these and make the decision to
have them, we would be wealthy people. But what matters most, is that they
would be comfortable!!!!

Ane, an enthusiast CPA in public and private industry, quickly forgot about the world of numbers and analytics with the arrival of her newborn son in 2005. Among the many surprises that a new baby brings, Ane never would have imagined that showering would become so difficult and uncomfortable. It was during these experiences that the idea for the Shower Hug™ was conceived.
Lingering in long, hot showers was a favorite retreat of hers, but the force of the shower spray hitting her tender breasts was too painful to tolerate. Engorged, tender breasts and cracked, bleeding nipples needed protection from the shower streams! Ane was inspired in her new role as mama to develop the Shower Hug™, a bandeau wrap made of wonderfully comforting knit terry velour that is worn while showering to protect, support and soothe pre and post baby breasts.
With the support of other moms, Ane set out to design the Shower Hug™. Her goal was to help women reclaim the serenity of the shower. After all, she knew the time in the shower is often the only "me-time" a new mom gets. The shower becomes a sanctuary – a place to cleanse the body and clear the mind.
Ane procured the materials for the Shower Hug and oversaw the manufacturing process to ensure a high-quality product that gives moms the feeling of a luxurious and comforting hug.

Ane and Lain work closely every day, even though separated by thousands of miles. Emails fly through cyberspace and calls are placed at the oddest hours, but the arrangement works beautifully. The Shower Hug™ is now widely available in birthing centers, maternity boutiques and online retailers.
In 2006, just one day after her son’s first birthday, Belmama & Cherub™ was founded and production of the Shower Hug™ began. Ane devoted all of her precious personal time to her company, working late into the night and the wee hours of the morning, to promote her product.
Precious personal time became “premium time” in September 2007, when Ane delivered her second child. Her new baby girl was born with a serious heart defect and open heart surgery was necessary within the first 5 months of her life. Ane focused on her number one priority – seeing her beautiful baby girl through a very frightening time. Motherhood and the fragility of life took on a whole new meaning. Ane believed there would be no way to continue with her new endeavor and product.
It was at this time that Lain stepped in, volunteering to do all that she could to keep the Shower Hug™ in the public eye. Lain worked diligently to learn the business and promote the Shower Hug™ for her sister. Her enthusiasm helped to propel the Shower Hug™ from the Pacific to the Atlantic and beyond!
