I (Dave Chodosh) saw the clerk at a local Baskin Robbins store making a root beer float and he did it wrong. He poured root beer over the ice cream and it resulted in a huge mess! I saw that and started to imagine a way to make the float more neat and portable, while offering the fun of being able to watch the ingredients mix. I also wanted to create a more portable product that could have more flavor choices, thus focused on the soda bottle as part of this new method.

One of the great American treats is the ice cream float. The Fizz Cup makes this fun dessert entertaining and easy. Use it with your kids, yourself or for party occasions.
The Fizz Cup is a plastic cup and lid that holds ice cream and screws onto the top of a common plastic soda bottle. It forms a “mixing chamber” so the customer can squeeze soda into the cup, and can drink the mixture thru the lid. It’s also reuseable. Item is available in packs of six so everyone can enjoy the fun!
Inventor: Dave Chodosh
Dave Chodosh has been a toy designer for 15 years and was very interested in food novelty items. He have created many products for companies that he worked for, and decided to pursue The Fizz Cup on his own. David lives in Manhattan Beach, CA with his wife, 2 kids and 2 dogs.
There were about 15 different iterations of the concept before I narrowed in on the one that worked best. I did all the design, engineering, and product development work myself. It was produced in China, and I traveled there to review the production for quality control.
THE CORDSNAKE IS A SMALL PLASTIC TOOL THAT KEEPS POWER TOOLS AND EXTENSION CORDS CONNECTED, KEEPS YOUR POWER CORD ROLLED UP AFTER USE, WORKS GREAT FOR LADDER WORK, ROOF WORK, WORKING IN TIGHT SPACES.
I (Mike Hartrich) invented the CordSnake while working on my construction projects. I wanted a better solution than tying the knot into the power cord. I tried different shapes until I realized that the snake-like shape works best because it increases friction. I had to get the exact dimensions right for the main power cord thicknesses. I tested out the CordSnake in the field and discovered that it had several other great uses; it keeps your power cords rolled up and secure after use, you can attach it to your ladder and hang your power cord on it, which relieves the weight of the cord, it keeps power cords connected when working under a house, and I’ve used it to rung power cords across a creek.
Inventor: Mike Hartrich
Mike Hartrich, President, Hartrich Enterprises and inventor of the CordSnake™ has been a builder for 25 years, working mostly on new homes and residential remodels. After years of fighting the extension cord battle he developed the CordSnake™ for his own jobs – the solution was so well received Hartrich Enterprises and the CordSnake™ was born. Besides CordSnake, Mike started up a group for other builder-inventors. This site is being upgraded to a new social media platform in order to encourage more interaction between members. Look for me in Yak Nation to tell you more about this fun and useful site.
I did my own patent and almost lost the application due to a $1 mistake. The USPTO told me that I had underpaid my fee by $1. I contacted them by phone and paid by credit card. This transaction was never processed. I then got a notice from the USPTO that my invention was abandoned. I managed to correct that because I kept complete records.
