As the saying goes, “Necessity is the mother of invention.” Therefore, when my littlest spilled in her car seat, I struggled to take the cover off, only to read the care instructions, which said, “Do not machine wash.” I searched for a better way, and when I came up empty, I knew an idea was born. The nomie baby car seat cover is it! It is a simple solution to many messy problems, making parent’s lives easier.

The nomie baby car seat covers are cozy, removable, washable & waterproof. They are designed with elastic edges and Velcro openings, so there is no need to struggle to remove the seat from the car, or wrestle to disassemble the straps.
Simply slip the nomie baby car seat cover over the existing one, pull the straps through the Velcro openings, and when it gets dirty, and it will, simply slip it off, throw it in the washing machine and dryer, and start all over again. It’s a hassle-free way to deal with all the messy problems. No more crying over spilled milk- or worse!
Inventor: Katie Danziger
Katie Danziger, mom-preneur and founder of nomie baby, was born and raised in New York City. She attended Vassar College and Yale University where she graduated with a degree in Psychology.
After college, Katie got her start as an assistant producer at an advertising agency before landing a job with AmFAR, the nonprofit organization dedicated to ending AIDS through research. Following this, Katie quickly found a niche for herself in special events and promotions, working for companies such as Columbia/TriStar Pictures, The National Sports Daily and Viewer’s Choice Pay-Per-View. After having her first child – a son – Katie decided to leave her full-time job so she could take on a new one – that of a full-time mom.
In between taking care of her kids – now ages 15, 13 and 2 – and getting her new business up and running, Katie still finds time for French toast breakfasts and home- cooked dinners. She loves sports – both playing and watching – walking through Central Park, and visiting the Central Park Zoo, a family favorite.
It started out as a messy accident, and I thought I would make a few for friends, but when I could find a fabric, or fabrics here, I ended up going to China for a solution, which meant producing more than I could sell to all my friends, so I launched a business.

When my son was 3 months old he nearly died from RSV. While we were in the hospital and for months afterward, it was vital that we keep ourselves healthy to avoid passing any illness onto him during his recovery. As a result of that, my family had to learn some new habits; one of which was not drinking after others (the fastest way to get sick).
About three months later (and still in recovery) we attended a family reunion with tons of cousins, aunts, uncles, etc. and found it nearly impossible to keep our water bottles straight. What was more; while cleaning up we had to dump out a ton of half-empty water bottles because the owner lost track of it, wasting money and resources. At that time I thought that there had to be something out there that would solve our problem. I searched and searched but found nothing. So, I decided to create it myself. Months of research and prototypes later, Aqua Bling was born!
Inventor: Evie Clercx
Originally from Nevada, Evie Clercx currently resides in Vermillion, South Dakota. She has always had a creative side and a love of fashion and accessories. She loves running, cooking, and reading, and is very health-conscious, especially since her son’s illness. As an adult, she has become increasingly aware of the negative environmental effects excessive waste creates for the planet. She subscribes to the philosophy that, “A lot of people doing little things to help can create big changes and make a big difference.”
Before starting aquaBling LLC, Evie worked in banking industry, as well as in the non-profit and event planning sectors. She has a Bachelor’s Degree in English from the University of South Dakota. She has a husband named Justin and three kids, Elaine (9), Aidan (2), and Austin (1), all of whom are very proud of their mother.
I actually came up with the idea and gave it to my sister-in-law. She is a creative person, and at the time was looking for work. She thought the idea was silly and laughed it off as nothing. I thought the idea had merit, though, so I decided to do it myself. Thanks.. sis!

Cute! A nice way to add fabulosity to your water bottle while keeping up with whose is whose. I love this idea. I had this similar problem all of the time too. Wasted water bottles because nobody can remember if it's theirs.
