I(Julie Austin) was running in the heat in Texas and passed out from dehydration. I carry my music and keys with me, so I wanted a way to carry water hands-free and eventually figured out a way. This is when swiggies, the wrist water bottle was born. I made the first mold out of clay and got lucky on the first prototype...it worked!

Wrist Water Bottles - water bottles that attach to your wrists with a vel-stretch band and pull top.
Have you ever taken a log run or hike only to find yourself craving water? Swiggies is the answer to all those runners out their who could use a thirst quencher in the middle of their outdoor run. You'll be able to run longer and feel better by giving your body that thirst quencher in the middle of your run.
By not being able to run and hold a water bottle your Swiggies will be the only solution that provides a much needed water break without even stopping.
Swiggies were originally designed for runners, but they are a great hydration tool for inline skaters, bikers, walkers and aerobics enthusiasts, too. The half pound that each Swiggies weighs when full will allow you to do your activity without any extra stress on your joints.
Inventor: Julie Austin
I started out as an actor (TV, film, commercials, theatre) and later on became a film and TV distributor, working with European companies to repackage products for their market. None of that really prepared me to become an inventor/entrepreneur. In fact, I'm not sure anything can really prepare you for that kind of crazy roller-coaster ride!
You never know where your customers are going to come from. I sold some swiggies to a Disco Tequila party. They put their logo on the bottles, filled them up with tequila, and gave them out at the door. Now I sell to alcohol companies for Marti Gras and college parties. This is a market I had never even thought of.
What to really get into the party spirit? Color your hair with Zach's Wax the one of a kind removable gel that gives your hair school spirit or team support. Perfect for kids and adults who want to show a little fun at the next sporting event or party.
We have 12 different color gels, better known as Spirit Gels. They are water bases and wash right out. The color gels are extra firm holding. So, you can paint on highlights, or even make a mowhawk. Each Spirit Gel is a “party in a tube.”
Each of our products represent a different charity. Pink = breast cancer for example, and depending on what we sell in that particular color each quarter, we donate to the corresponding charity.
Great for football season, high school games, kids parties, halloween, and for just adding a fun daily twist to your hair!
I (Eric Plahn) Came from the beauty industry, and always thought when I visited salons during a playoff game that there are plenty of avid fans that would wear their team's colors to the big game (especially if it washed right off when they got home). I researched it for a while and finally took the plunge to give it a try.
Inventor: Eric Plahn
Eric Plahn is married to a very supporting and hard working wife. They have four great kids = Zach (whom we named the company after) Lezly, Danny and Stevie.
When we were developing our website, we came up with the idea to designate a color/product with each charity. We are a family owned company and our products are made here in the USA! In order to meet large orders, we have had boxing parties. At the boxing parties, we have had 15-20 people from our church and family help us fold and pack boxes – huge blessing!

The charity contributions and contributions by the family make this product a winner. Of course the Laker colors help too.
