The Djubi is a new and fun exciting game to play.

djubi™ (pronounced joo-bee) is a new outdoor toy played with specially designed racquets and a unique ball called “the djubi”.

Place the rubber launching loop around launch hook, pull back and aim. When the djubi is released it flies through the air at varying degrees of speed, distance and height, depending on the trajectory and force of the launch - then snagged out of the air in the mesh pocket of the racquet.

I (Dave Yearick) set out to create a new way to play the classic game of “catch”. Inspired by my then 9 year old son who had no interest in an old school leather ball and glove... but rather was interested in “extreme” things such as skateboarding, rock climbing, snowboarding, etc… My challenge, - How can I make the classic game of catch new and exciting... djubi was the outcome.

Why the name djubi?

\"Djubi\" is derived from the Aboriginal name for an animal more commonly known as a sugarglider. This animal is similar to a flying squirrel, yet it is a marsupial, which means the young are held in their mothers\' pouches (kangaroos are the most well-known marsupial). Sugarglider tails are as long as their bodies.

\"the djubi\" has a tail as long as it\'s body, it glides through air, and goes into a pouch... hence the name.

Hugga-Bébé is a support for babies through toddler years to use in activity centers, jumpers, walkers, high chairs, park bucket swings, and more.

The way a child sits can have long-term effects all the way into adulthood.  With Hugga-Bébé having your child sit proper is simple.  Hugga-Bébé gives children the ability to sit without having to slump over or flop around.  When your child is little learning to sit (good posture) is a must.  Hugga-Bébé allows for proper alignment for children to develop the core muscles, giving them the trunk control to sit properly.  Teaching a child to sit can have as much impact on their physical health, self esteem and processing as does teaching them to talk and walk.

There is clear evidence that chronic back pain can be a result of poor sitting habits stemming all the way back to childhood.  It is important for children to maintain the 3 major spinal curves at the neck, upper and lower back no matter what age the child is.  At the same time the pelvis should be in a neutral position (not tilted forward or back).  A slouched posture can be damaging to say the least.  Hugga-Bébé allows children to have good posture from 4 months thru toddler years (one size fits all).  A strong trunk enables a child, for instance, to breathe more effectively and use his or her extremities more efficiently.  Giving children the love and support they need from Hugga-Bébé.

Great for use in a Bumbo, swing, seat, or any other area your child needs a little cushioned support while sitting.

The problem: her 4 month-old nephew kept falling over in his activity center. Her solution: the Hugga-Bébé. In March, 2007, she invented the Hugga-Bébé, a safe, versatile and practical product that helps protect infants and toddlers while they are playing in activity centers, jumpers, walkers and park bucket swings.

This stay-at-home mom has caught the entrepreneurial spirit and is busy building her business – overseeing manufacturing and distribution of the Hugga-Bébé.

As a mom of two girls, safety is a top priority for her. So when faced with a problem that could potentially harm babies and toddlers, she went to work finding a solution.

Kimberly is married with two daughters, Erica is 11 and Sarah is 3. She is excited to share her new venture with her daughters and hopes her business will motivate other stay-at-home moms to turn their million dollar ideas into reality.

Kimberly is proud to be an exhibitor at the ABC Kids Expo in September 2008, where the Hugga-Bébé was nominated for an Innovation Award from the Juvenile Product Manufacturers Association .

This is a GREAT idea! I have a 7 month old that is always flopping forward and sideways just like the pics shown. I am always shoving stuffed animalsand blankets around him to keep him from falling over. Posture is so important and protecting that backmore is essential. If this works as shown, this is a hit! Machine washable, I hope?
